Hello!

I’m Ellen Strachan, a Printmaker, Surface Pattern Designer and Owner of Pigeon Loft Prints. With my roots in the North East of England and East Anglia, I'm a one-time pigeon-fancier who has made London my home for near 20 years.

My work is inspired by the wonder of living things, the nostalgia of childhood and human curiosities. I infuse my lino cut prints with joyful energy, strong lines, and texture. My surface patterns and textile designs retain many of the imperfections and unique qualities of hand-printed art.

Pigeon Loft Prints offers my surface pattern designs and illustrations to companies for licensing or buyout. I welcome collaborations and requests to create bespoke designs. My hand-printed linocuts and a range of eco-friendly homewares and craft kits are also available for purchase from selected stockists.
